The panels are composed of three layers: a PVC support made with recycled materials, a mattress made of neoprene and leather. Using special processes, the leather is extremely thin, malleable in the processing phase and durable. The final product is distinctively soft to the touch and light: It only weighs 6 kilograms per square meters, making it easier to transport and assemble.
The panels are available in sizes ranging from 25x30 cm to 125+75 cm, with any of the tailor-made alternatives for special sizes.
In addition, Millepelli produces special panels allowing each element embedded into the walls to be hidden (light sources, electric switches, air conditioners, speakers etc). The positioning and the inclination of the panels are specially designed to create spectacular special effects, such as direct or diffused lighting; light abrasions and small incisions on the leather provide for locating the exact position of the buttons on the electric switches and sockets.
Installing the panels requires a few simple steps. It simply involves resting the panel, equipped with magnets, on the support structure previously applied to the wall. This system provides for covering large areas within a limited frame.
Thanks to the original system, the panels were awarded the Industrial Patent number 0001403992.
